Over the past 25 years, David and Lesley Cohn have brought San Diego dining to a new level.  Beginning with one small diner in 1981, Cohn Restaurant Group now owns and operates 11 restaurants within the San Diego area and a 12th restaurant in Kapalua, Maui.  Each restaurant has gained respect through numerous awards and accolades, including multiple San Diego Gold Medallion Awards, Restaurateur of the Year, Gaslamp Quarter Association Lamplighter Awards, and other honors from local publications and philanthropic organizations.

The impressive portfolio of modern venues is certain to please even the most discriminating diner and event planner.  Each award winning restaurant is unique in its cuisine, décor, and ambiance, but they share a distinguished attention to detail that ensures every event is a resounding success.  From meetings and retreats to conferences and fundraisers, the venues of Cohn Restaurant Group will add a touch of understated sophistication to corporate events of any size.

While each restaurant varies wildly in terms of food and design, they all share an “obsession with hospitality.”  This Cohn philosophy focuses heavily on superior service and aesthetic comfort while duly reflecting the family’s steadfast contributions to the local culinary scene and the communities in which they operate.  The award winning cuisine, excellent service, and a unique atmosphere at each of the restaurants keeps locals and visitors coming back.

Cohn’s oldest restaurant, the Corvette Diner located in the San Diego neighborhood of Hillcrest, is changing venues as the diner will soon be moving across town to Historic Liberty Station.  Meanwhile, construction has already begun on Cohn’s newest venture, 333 Pacific, a steak and seafood restaurant offering waterfront dining near the Oceanside Pier.  The Cohn Restaurant Group has also partnered with Sunroad Harbor Island to undergo a $9 million overhaul of the former Reuben E. Lee floating restaurant and event space, currently located at the end of Harbor Island, next to the Cohn owned, Island Prime.  This LEED certified restaurant, operated by chef/partner Deborah Scott, is only one of the many green initiatives that Cohn Restaurant Group is currently undertaking.  Construction is expected to begin on the Reuben E. Lee in late 2009 and finish about 2010.
