No day-old bread served here! Con Pane’s Baking Team comes in at 1am every morning to produce freshly baked breads for the day. Every bread and pastry is hand shaped daily. Our breads get their intense flavor and leavening powers from a natural culture of wild yeast, also known as levain. Levain provides more complex flavor and texture than commercial yeast. After 18 hours of letting the breads fully rise they are baked directly on the hearth of a 10,000 lb stone hearth imported from France, giving the bread the thick, caramel colored crust. Choose from over 20 Handmade artisanal breads, decadent pastries and gourmet sandwiches in the Heart of Liberty Station.
